PolyWood is a high performance wood lumber substitute manufactured from high density-plastic. It consist of high density polyethylene resins, select coloring and foaming agents. PolyWood is processed into a specification product that closely resembles painted and natural wood products.
PolyWood absorbs no moisture and is easy to clean!
PolyWood is compounded with permanent, UV stabilized colors.

Additionally, this product is impervious to many common corrosive substances including salt water, as well as gasoline and hydrocarbon oils.
PolyWood is worked with standard woodworking tools and hardware. Screws are the preferred fastener for the attachment of the material.
PolyWood is not attached with adhesives; its surface characteristics resist adhesives and the solvents used as carriers for many adhesives. Additionally, PolyWood is impervious to paint, stains, and mineral spirits.
To maintain PolyWood, clean the lumber with soap and water. All-purpose cleaners or 1/3 bleach and water solutions take care of extreme cleaning needs.
PolyWood Inc warranties to the original purchaser, that for a period of five (5) years for residential use (three (3) for commercial use) from the date of purchase against any defects in the manufacturing and workmanship of the furniture components. "Defects" is defined as imperfections that impair the original function of the product. This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear effects on the furniture, which is received by regular use of the furniture. Neither does it cover damage due to unauthorized repairs or alterations, negligence, misuse or abuse, improper assembly and acts of God. This warranty does not apply to the hardware used to assemble the furniture. The original purchaser is responsible for providing PolyWood, Inc. with the proper documentation needed to determine a resourceful solution to the defect. Possible solutions are replacement or repair of defective furniture, replacement or repair of defective component or authorization to have product repaired by a third party.

I bought two chairs after seeing them for sale in a local nursery. Now, all over town I see wooden Adirondacks with cracked paint and water damage and feel pretty smug to have my recycled plastic Adirondacks that will last for a long time with no maintenance. They may cost more up front, but I think they are a good deal in the long run for my family and for the environment.
I bought 2 Classic Adirondack chairs to replace my wooden ones. I babied the wooden ones, stored them in the winter, sanded and painted, replaced arms as water did its damage. These Polywwod chairs look very similar to the old ones but will not require the maintenance. An excellent feature is the chair's ability to fold close for storage with the removal of four bolts. The only style change I would make would be to have the back slats a bit wider. I shopped around and found these chairs to be the best price for their quality. And I loved the speedy delivery. They are wonderful. We built a new house with a little porch on it and neighbors walk by all the time and give us compliments on how nice it looks. When ever it gets dirty we just take a towel out there and wipe it off its so easy. Its not like wood that's a pain in the butt to take care of.
