What is PolyWood?
PolyWood is a high performance wood lumber substitute manufactured from high density-plastic. It consist of high density polyethylene resins, select coloring and foaming agents. PolyWood is processed into a specification product that closely resembles painted and natural wood products.
PolyWood absorbs no moisture and is easy to clean!
PolyWood is compounded with permanent, UV stabilized colors.
PolyWood is easy to maintain for a lifetime.
Additionally, this product is impervious to many common corrosive substances including salt water, as well as gasoline and hydrocarbon oils. PolyWood is worked with standard woodworking tools and hardware. Screws are the preferred fastener for the attachment of the material. PolyWood is not attached with adhesives; its surface characteristics resist adhesives and the solvents used as carriers for many adhesives. Additionally, PolyWood is impervious to paint, stains, and mineral spirits. To maintain PolyWood, clean the lumber with soap and water. All-purpose cleaners or 1/3 bleach and water solutions take care of extreme cleaning needs.

Most ordered items will ship via ground shipping by companies such as UPS or FedEx. If the item is excessively large (such as an 8’ x 10’ rug) or if there are many of the same item (such as six lamps), the items will ship via truck freight. For those manufacturers that accept NON DAMAGED returns, the following information applies. All returns must be in original packaging and be received in original, new and re-stockable condition in order to receive a refund less return shipping charges and a maximum 15% factory re-stocking fee if applicable. After we receive and inspect your return, we will refund the credit card used for the purchase less return shipping fees and factory re-stocking fees if applicable. We never keep your credit card information on file so you will receive a call from one of our Customer Service Experts to process your refund.
Return shipping charges and factory re-stocking fees are not refundable (except in the case of incorrect or defective items). Shipping charges and factory re-stocking fees will be deducted from the total refund amount. Due to shipping costs, we cannot offer any refunds or exchanges for orders delivered beyond the continental USA.
When your order arrives, be sure to inspect it to ensure that you received the correct products and that they were not damaged during transit. If you notice damages, be sure to note the damages with the delivery driver before you sign for it and contact our customer service department immediately. Although we experience very little concealed damages, we recommend (for large truck LTL deliveries) that you sign the delivery receipt notating "Pending Inspection". If you experience concealed damage, notating this for future reference will assist us with your claim process.
We know that sometimes it's not possible to notice all discrepancies before unpacking everything, long after the carrier has left. In such a case, please contact our Customer Service Experts within 14 Days of delivery and they will be happy to address the situation.
In all cases of damaged and incorrect shipments, we will gladly replace the item and the cost of shipping the item back to us for exchange.
After contacting us to process a return and get you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, you will need to prepare your item for shipment. Please repack the item to be returned securely in the original packaging. Please write your RMA number in large characters on the outside of the box. Make sure the package is fully sealed before shipping. We are not responsible for packages that are lost or damaged.
Our Customer Service Experts will arrange to have the item picked up from your home. No need to take the item and have it shipped yourself; we'll take care of the legwork. Remember that return shipping charges and factory restocking fees (if applicable) are not refundable (except in the case of incorrect or defective items).
Poly-Wood, Inc., (hereinafter "Poly-Wood"), warranties to the original purchaser ("Purchaser") that, for a period of twenty (20) years of residential use and one (1) year for commercial use from the date of original purchase, under normal use and service conditions, Poly-Wood brand high-density polyethylene (HDPE) products shall be free from material defects, and shall not splinter, crack, chip, peel, rot, or suffer structural damage from insect infestation. Further, Poly-Wood warranties that for a period of 30-days from date of purchase all Poly-Wood products shall be free from defects related to workmanship.
The following items are specifically excluded from the Poly-Wood limited warranty. Poly-Wood shall not be liable for any failure, defect or damage resulting from or connected with the following:
Poly-Wood furniture is made of HDPE plastic resin that has been purified and UV protected. It is generally cared for and cleaned with soap and warm water. For certain stains and additional cleaning power, a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution can be used without affecting the color. Also, a popular method of cleaning is a high-pressure power wash. (Not to exceed 1,500 psi.) The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases.
The hardware used in the assembly and construction of our furniture is a 300 series commercial grade stainless steel that has an additional "Xylan" protective and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of the hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, the hardware can show some sign of corrosion, especially in salt air environments. A practical solution to these signs of corrosion would be to wash the product with soap and warm water. Use a soft bristle brush to scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. Also, appliance touch up paint may be used in the appropriate color to protect the hardware. Appliance touch up paint can be purchased at local hardware stores.
